Modeling Materials for the Planet
Soft Matter and Polymer Physics are often key elements to develop recyclable plastics, harness renewable energy sources, or understand and use new biomaterials. Modeling offers a way to test such complex materials in a controlled and inexpensive environment, supporting or guiding the path to experimental development or optimization. We target fundamental problems in polymer physics that constitute bottlenecks for the development of new sustainable materials, often in collaborations with experimental groups.
