While individual molecular interactions in soft polymeric materials are relatively well understood, the complex properties emerging from the combination of them at multiple scale remain challenging to predict theoretically. In our fundamental research we focus on building blocks such as branched, multifunctional polymers and their composites to predict emerging macroscale properties. We focus on out-of-equilibrium phenomena such as viscoelasticity, mechanical deformations, confinement effects and kinetically arrested states.
